The reference images for a commissioned piece are of the utmost importance to the process as they are relied on for anatomical details, likeness, and lighting in order to capture the true essence of the subject. To ensure that the source material is ideal, proper photos and sketches will be taken during a sitting with the subject. In evaluating the photos, some liberties may be taken with certain aspects of colour and composition in order to arrive at a more successful piece. Please note:

• Any additional fees, including travel charges, would be discussed and paid in full before scheduling the sitting.

• Once the final image is agreed upon, work on the commission will begin.

• Framing is at the discretion of the purchaser. Works will arrive unframed.

50% payment is required before work begins. Photos of work will be sent upon completion wherein the balance of payment is due, prior to delivery. PayPal or INTERAC e-Transfer is accepted.

Delivery is available in the Toronto area. Any necessary shipping will be an additional cost and an estimate will be provided upon request based on location and speed of service. Exact shipping costs will be provided once the painting has been packed and is ready to be shipped.

Timing varies depending on the medium and size selected for the work. Pencil and pastel works take 3-6 weeks, whereas oil paintings can take upwards of 4-8 weeks. Timelines will be confirmed before work begins. If you have a specific deadline (should the work be required for a specific occasion) every effort will be made to accommodate provided the completion date is agreed upon prior to work commencing.
